Job Overview:

The Human Resources Coordinator assists with the administration of the day-to-day operations of the human resources functions and duties. The HR Coordinator carries out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: Recruitment, HRIS updates, , benefit and payroll backup, organizational development, executive administration, and employment. An important part of the role will be to act as the liaison between HR and employees, ensuring smooth communication and prompt resolution of requests and questions. This role will help with the implementation of services, policies, and programs. 

 

Roles:

o Assists with the placement of recruitment ads

o Assists with the coordination of offer letters and new hire documents and establishes employee file

o Communicates new hires to the Training Director

o Assist in bi-weekly payroll administration and HRIS administration

o Properly triages complaints and grievances

o Provides administrative support to Human Resources 

o Updates staff directory & the company’s organizational chart and maintains a database of employee contact information

o Participates in benefit administration to include open enrollments, audits, 401k admin, employee leaves (FMLA, disability), etc.

o Maintains organized and accurate employee files in compliance with applicable legal requirements

o Processes employment verification and unemployment claims

o Assists in the development and implementation of new personnel policies and procedures

 

Qualifications:

o 1-3 years of relevant experience in human resources

o Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office Suite including working knowledge of MS Teams.

o Experience with ADP software a plus 

o Effective verbal and written communication skills

o General knowledge of various federal and state employment laws and practices including FMLA and ADA regulations

o Able to exhibit a high level of confidentiality

o Excellent organizational skills

o Ability to prioritize, multi-task and identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
